Banana Chia Seed Fritters

Are you a fritter lover? Banana fritters are pretty popular in Jamaica, where I’m from and I thought I’d share this yummy goodness with you all.


2 cups of flour
1/4 cups chia seeds
1/4 brown sugar
1 egg
2 Bananas
2 teaspoon nutmeg / cinnamon

Mash the bananas and eggs until smooth.
Add two pinch of salt
add 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and stir until well blended
Add paste to flour, chia seeds, and nutmeg
Stir until it is a paste. Add water as needed. (The end result should be a thick paste)
Add oil to frying pan
Add scoops of paste into oil and fry until it is thoroughly cooked


Once finished, top it with your choice of flavors. I used unsweetened coconut flakes, caramelized apples and honey.
